Transforming the industry
RW Technology is a patented technology, integrated into the entire Maindrop faucet range, which is responsible for giving taps the ability to supply hot water at the temperature requested by the user from the first moment of supply.
Hot water at the first moment of supply
RW Technology is compatible with both types of existing water distribution networks in a home.
- Standard water distribution networks (2 pipes): Hot water pipe + Cold water pipe.
- Water distribution networks with dedicated return line (3 pipes): Cold water pipe + Hot water pipe + Return pipe.
Standard water distribution network
The following video shows how it works…
After the previous video where the functional concept of RW technology is shown in detail, the following video shows a simulation of the impact of this technology on an example of a single-family home.
Water distribution network with return line
The following vídeo shows the behavior and impact of RW Technology in a home equipped with a dedicated return line.
Main points to pay attention to
In all cases, thanks to the RW Technology integrated into the taps, hot water only flows from the boiler to the tap requesting hot water.
In all cases, thanks to the RW Technology integrated into the taps, the water booster pump only works for the time it takes for the water to reach the tap requesting hot water from the boiler.
These points confirm RW Technology as the most effective, efficient and sustainable solution in the Tap and DHW Distribution network sectors:
- Hot water only moves to those taps that request hot water, not a single drop of hot water will move to another point in the water network unnecessarily.
- The booster pump is only activated for the minimum time necessary until the hot water reaches the tap requesting hot water, not a second more.
- Finally! The taps will no longer waste cold water when the user requests hot water.
Homes equipped with taps with RW technology will exponentially optimise any water distribution network, reducing both water and energy consumption to a minimum.
